The Shadows of Katapesh
Hakim Al Singh
A tall young man in his early twenties, Hakim has brown hair and brown eys, with skin tarnished under the pounding of the Katapeshian desert sun.
Born the third son of a merchant noble house, Hakim is a silent but attentive young man in his early twenties. Being the third child taught him to choose his battles, and speak only when there was good purpose to those words. Hakim followed the traditional path laid out for generations. The first born, Salah, was expected to follow the father’s path, and eventually become caretaker of the families’ position and fortune. The second son, Alkir, joining the ranks of military officers within the kingdom’s military. Leaving the option only of a religious path open to Hakim. But hours of rituals and ceremony grated upon impatient and young nerves. Hakim came to admire the loyalty and mission of the paladins of Sarenrae, soon petitioning to join their order. The grueling hours of training under the hot Katapeshian sun toughened his young noble frame, and added to steel to his will. Seemingly to ignore the harsh climate, and suffer less its anvil pounding effects. His hard work and devotion bore fruit when he was blessed to be one of the few to manifest the rare gift of the Flame of the Dawnflower, which can burn his enemies with the searing power of his goddesses’ holy wrath. The time has now come to put his years of training and preperations to the test. Time to see if he can rise to the challenge of defending his faith, and not only speak the tenets of his church, but to prove them with his actions and deeds.
